Protect yourself from the sun by applying sunscreen that blocks both UVA and UVB rays and has an SPF of at least 30.
Reapply sunscreen throughout the day.
Wear sunglasses with a UV rating.
Always keep any gates locked while the pool is not in use.
Enroll children in swim classes.
Know what to do in case of an emergency.
Do not dive in shallow water.
Maintain a 4 foot tall barrier to prevent children from entering the pool.
Never leave children unattended when in the pool or pool area.
Remove access ladder (if equipped) when the pool is not in use.
